| Apple I ate 5 of these, and lets just say I'm very surprised the doctor recommended it. |

The case I have in mind is the Seidio Innocase II Surface, as discussed in one of the threads on here.
Would appreciate any iPhone owners with cases on their phones to give me some feedback on what would be a good "universal" car holder. Last edited by johnnyking; 02-09-2009 at 07:35 PM.. Reason: Keep it simple. |

I'd recommend this air vent holder:
Style Universal Premium Car Holder It very adjustable, so can be quickly adjusted to different phone dimension easily - quite small and discrete. It handles different widths of handset but also different thinknesses. |

Ah.. sussed it, its adjustable sides and goes pretty wide. (way more than 60mm)
you loosen the screws to slide the sides apart and then tighten them when you've got a good fit. Brodit holders are excellent, I've had one for my last 3 phones and 2 iPods, loads better than airvent holders. |

We can get all of them, but I think that's the only one that is designed to take the phone in a skin. The rest are for the phone 'as is'.
I've got an invisibleshield on mine and i've had to cut parts of the invisible shield away to get it in as the brodits are such a good fit. just checked that link and it's not taking you to the page i thought it was. its holder number 875214 or 915290 for the iphone with skins Last edited by andys_mf; 03-09-2009 at 04:41 PM.. |

Yeah the sites using frames - meaning the URL doesn't change when you click the link on a holder.
I like the look of 516042 (can't link to it because of my lack of posts). Not only does it adjust to fit cases but it has a swivel to use the iphone horizontally, useful for GPS software. One thing I wasn't too sure about with it was the power connector. Looks like there's a connector as part of it already. Then I need to plug in a standard iphone car charger into it? But this goes at the back somewhere... =/ Have you got a price on this? |

Good spot on that holder, I'd not seen that one. It's got a pass through connector on the bottom - this means you can leave your charger plugged into the holder all the time rather than keep having to plug it/unplug it. Charging port is in the same place as it would be on your phone. Price wise, I'm going to need to get back to you as I'll need to check with our supplier. I'll post as soon as I know. |
