Bluetooth I do wonder why it's blue, can't it be red - because then it would match my shirt.

Default Bluetooth Dongle Drivers

Hi Have a bluetooth dongle, but have lost my drivers. How can I go about installing it now? Are there generic drivers I could use?

drivers are specific to the dongle you're using, if you install the wrong one, you may get limited functionality, or have to pay to use it.. if in doubt, microsoft have generic drivers built into Windows XP SP2, you can use those, but may not support all features such as A2DP or allow you to use your bluetooth headset with skype..

same problem as you plus my computer cannot find the dongle and I think the problem is that it had been paired with another dongle. Is it possible to clear its identity number

if you open up device manager on your pc (control panel - > system -> hardware) you should see the dongle listed, if there has been a problem installing it, you'll see a cross or a question mark next to it on your list of devices. if this is the case, right click it and choose uninstall.

remove the dongle and then re start your pc. When it comes back on, re insert the dongle and windows should then re install it using the default drivers. if you're asked to insert a disc, you'll need to download them from one of the urls listed on this thread.

hope this helps.
