It should work with no problem at all, but its not yet officially supported by Tom Tom.

HI and good afternoon - being a bit thick, perhaps someone can tell me if running an HTC Tytn11 with windows mobile 6.1 when using Navigation software as is advertised currently by a few companies. Dies this cost money (roaming) when used in Europe. Of is this function of the phone not using "roaming" services. I realise if I access the traffic info function then the phone will then roam but otherwise does it cost anything?

OK and thanks fro your reply - Unfortunately it did not answer the question.... I need to know if I use navigation software on my mobile, does it cost money when roaming internationally and within the country of use (contract held) when this software is activated/running. I have a ICN650 (NAVMAN) which is now obsolete (no map updates) so rather than spend hundreds on a stand-alone unit, which costs nothing to use, I would rather use my mobile to back-up the Navman when it throws a hissy-fit at some junctions that have altered and where new roads have been built that the Navman simple does not recognise!

sorry about that last response - that was spam that the filters didn't pick up. he's deleted and banned now.

Most sat nav on phones requires an internet connection to download routing information, but not all. some will store the maps and POI's on your phone, so they will be completely free to use. Others don't store any map details on the phone and down load your route each time you request it - but this will incur data charges - which could be expensive abroad.

There are +'s and -'s for each type. If you let me know what device you've got and which mapping apps you're looking at i'll be able to give you more of an idea on costs etc.

Yes, both will work fine although you'll need to have the latest version of TomTom Navigator.
