Default HTC multi-coloured screen of death and corrupt MicroSD card !

The other day whilst running Pocket Navigator and Tom Tom I had a monumental crash on my HTC TYTN II (MDA Vario III version) with a multi-coloured screen of death & reboot that I have never seen before (I took it to be the HTC version of the old Windows blue screen of death)

After this I found the Tom Tom and Pocket Navigator plus a couple of other programs had the icons greyed out and wouldn't work and the map and tom tom data on the memory card was screwed up and unreadable.

I had to resort to a full hard re-set and reinstall to get things going again but still have a corrupt 8gb micro SD card with 3gb of gobbledygook named files that can't be read or deleted!

How do I re-format the micro SD card ?

Cheers ... Mike

Have you tried formatting the memory card in your PC? You'll need a memory card reader, but once you plug it in, it should show in my computer - just right click it and select format. It should only take a few seconds.
