Red face LG KC550 - memory card capacity

I was told my kc550 could take up to a 4Gb micro sd card, but in the manual that came with the phone it says it will take up to a 2Gb card, can anyone tell me which is correct

thanks
Tracey

Hi Tracey,

We've tried the 4GB and its fine. LG user manuals aren't the best and are often confusing.

8Gb defintately won't work, if for any reason when you put the 4gb card in the phone you can only see the first 2gb, there are a couple of things you can do to see the rest.

If you have a look at this post - its for the viewty, but the process is the same.

Andy

You'll need to tell the phone where you want stuff saved as default.

If you go into:

Settings > Phone Settings > Memory Manager > Primary Storage Settings

You'll have the choice of either Handset Memory or External Memory.

If you want them to save to your memory card by default, you'll need to change this to External Memory.

All files from now on will go to your memory card and not the phone memory.

Hope this helps.

You'll need to find the memory settings option on the phone, it will be in the settings menu, but might be called something slightly different.
