Hi,
Shouldn't be a problem to get it working - follow these steps and give me a shout if you get stuck: from the main menu - messaging -> settings -> email -> email accounts -> add acount still with me? you'll be asked for login details - this is your hotmail address and your normal password on the next screen it asks for this again - put in your hotmail address again the next screen will ask for the email type - select pop3 next it will ask for incoming server details, enter: pop3.live.com then it will ask for the outgoing server, enter: smtp.live.com next it will ask for smtp authentication - this needs to be ON now it will be asking for your smtp username and password, this is your email address and your usual password next you need to give the account a name - "hotmail" is a good bet it will then ask you to update the inbox, say yes and it will check for mail and start downloading. if you get an error message of any kind, let me know! hmm, ok, think i know what that might be - the server number for incoming email needs to be 995. don't worry about what it means - i don't really know either
but check the following:messaging -> settings -> email -> email accounts -> select your hotmail account scroll to the bottom of that screen and you should see an advanced settings option, press it on the next screen, you'll see smtp port number, this should be 25 and smtp tls/ssl should be off underneath that, incoming server should be 995 - (i'm thinking yours says 110?) incoming tls/ssl should be on smtp authentication should be off apop secure login should be on i think some of that is different to what I said before, but i've taken those settings off a wokring cookie so should work for you |

hmm. If your phone is configured with everything listed here, there's no reason why its not connecting.
The only thing it could possibly be now (but i doubt it) is that you're on payg. It might be worth checking with your network to see if they need to lift any restrictions in order for it to work. Which network are you on? |
