Just bought one and installed the PC Suite. The interface shows only icons like "content", "contact", "music" and etc. I can't find the menu setting on that. When I chose LG Music, the menu shows only "File", "Tool" and "Help". The only sub-menu under File category is "exit". So, I don't know how to find the "menu setting" to download the music to my phone.
Thanks in advance for your help. |

Hi TJ,
When you connected the phone to your computer, did it ask you which mode to connect in? If it didn't, you'll need to put the phone into Music Mode. To do this, you'll need to disconnect the USB cable from the phone and then on the phone go to Settings > Connectivity > USB Connection > Music Sync (or always ask, in case you sometimes will want to sync or use storage) It will confirm its been saved, and then you can plug the cable back in. Your PC will probably say that there is new hardware detected, just leave it for a minute or two to finish doing its thing and then you should be good to go. Your phone should display "Music Sync Connected" with a cancel button at the bottom of the screen. If you launch the music app again now from the PC Suite, your phone should be connected and you'll be able to transfer your music over. Another way of doing it is to connect in mass storage, and your PC should then just see it as an extra storage drive and you can just drag and drop your mp3's into the relevant folder - having said that, mine didn't have a music folder when I tried this way, but that might be because I've not got any music on the phone yet! Try that and let me know how you get on |

Thanks a lot, Andy. That's very helpful.
Do I also need to get Windows XP Service Pack 2 or higher and Windows Media Player 11, right? It appeared "OS doesn't support MTP tranfer..." when I tried to run LG Music? |

Yes, you'll need to make sure your pc is running the latest updates for it to work properly. XP is up to service pack 3 now, so that will update most things in one go!
WM player should come as part of that update. Hope you've got a fast connection ![]() http://update.microsoft.com |
