Hi All
![]() This might be a stupid question but i have to ask it..... on the outdoor panel antenna where does the usb dongle go, eg inside or outside the unit. I ask this because it says that the outdoor antenna is waterproof, but the dongle isnt waterproof ?? Also would this be a good investment and do they work... I am on the three network and i live on the edge of the signal area, hence my signal keeps dropping out all the time, and then most of the time it reconnects ok sometimes not HELP !! |

Hi,
The Outdoor antenna comes with a 5 metre coaxial cable that you can route to where your computer is and if needed this can be extended, although the longer the cable, the less effective the antenna will be. The USB Dongle needs to plug into the USB port on your computer, and depending on your modem type, will connect to the antenna using either a universal adapter or a CRC-9 connection. The antenna is designed to be a permanent fixture, but your dongle can be disconnected quickly and easily if you need to move use your laptop somewhere else. Hope this helps. |
