Best thing to do is contact your network provider, they can assist you on the problem.

After much research - I just gave up and binned it - end of an era.

...... How ironic as it seems Motorola in general is heading towards the trash heap.

you gave up on your phone. Look on the bright side you can get a upgraded version next.

The feature I love about the motorola is the call answer lock. No other manufacturer has it. Even if someone calls you the security lock code will still need to be entered before answering the call. This is a good feature if you leave your phone unattended and someone tries to answer it without you knowing. They wont be able to.

Wah007 - what happens if you lose your phone, and then decide to call it (which lets be honest is what most people do!).. even if it was a nice, honest, upstanding citizen.. they wouldn't be able to answer your call!!

Apart from that, I guess it is a good idea.. ;-)

Did you recycle your phone Beaker? Or just bin it?

your right there Back2theOldSkool. Some people dont want for e.g. a guys dad answering a call from his girlfriend or something. It just puts your mind at rest if you worry about things. Depends on what matters more really. If you are worried about losing your phone then you can turn it off otherwise put the lock on for extra security.
