What went wrong with Siemens?

Stupid question I know, but where did it go wrong they did some nice phones.

SL-55 was stylish.
SX1 was a beast and did almost anything at the time (plus they did a cool Maclaren limited edition one).

Even when BenQ too kit over they had some cool products like the EF81.
