Can anyone suggest a car holder for the Samsung I8510. Ideally I want to mount it on the air vents of my Vauxhall Astra, but the majority of the holders out there obscure the charging socket on the left hand side. I want to be able to put my phone on charge whilst in the holder.
The unit I purchased from Mobile Fun previously was reference: 5828, which was a very nice holder, but due to the problem above was unsuitable. |

Hi,
You'll be better off going for a phone specific holder rather than a universal one. They are a bit more expensive, but I've always found brodit holders to be really good - having said that they aren't air vent mounted - they're screw fix, so you'd need to get a damage free bracket for your car too. Other than iPhone, all airvent holders that we do are universal and run the risk of covering the ports on your phone |

Andy,
Thanks for your speedy reply. Can you recommend a specific unit. There appear to very few accessories for the i8510. I am happy to pay the going rate for a suitable holder. Last edited by pjamesmorgan; 20-10-2009 at 02:21 PM.. |

I've just been through them all and it looks as though most have been discontinued now as the i8510 is no longer current.
I've checked with brodit and they don't do one any more, so in this case a universal holder looks like it's going to be your only option. you might want to look at the nokia cr-39/cr-82 - they are more adjustable than most so you should be able to find a position that won't cover the charge ports |
